About Michael
Michael discovered his passion for photography in 1993 and formed Michael’s Images & Impressions in 1998. Michael has exhibited at many art shows throughout Connecticut since 1998. He was a long-standing member of the Connecticut Association of Photographers, the Wallingford Camera Club and past president of the Castle Craig Camera Club in Meriden, CT.  In 2005, Michael established Emerald Isle Framing & Gallery in Clinton, CT.

Michael’s photographs have consistently been ribbon winners in camera club competition, as well as at state fairs such as the Durham Fair where his "Feeling Sheepish" image won a Special Best in Show Award. His images focus on simplicity and achieving striking renditions of everyday subjects or landscapes that are often seen, but not always noticed.

About the Images
All images are sold as open-edition decorative art. Images are shot using Kodak professional films and scanned into a digital format using the Super Nikon Coolscan 4000 ED scanner. Photos are printed on an Epson printer using the manufacturer’s Epson inks and papers.

All photographs are mounted on acid-free mountboard and double matted using Bainbridge and Crescent acid-free rag matboards. The dimensions of the image area will vary slightly as each photograph is individually cropped to aesthetically fit the image.

Photographs are available either framed or unframed. The outer dimension frame sizes that are available are 11x14, 16x20 and 20x24. Photos are framed using regular picture glass and Nielsen metal mouldings. The following frame colors are available:
• Frosted Gold
• Frosted Silver
• Frosted Copper
• Pewter/Gun Metal
• Glossy Black

For those that have visited me at art shows, you’ve noted that I exhibit my images using a variety of mat and frame colors that complement the images. Images available online will have the following color combinations available for double matting:
• Gallery White w/ Gallery White Liner
• Gallery White w/ Complementary Color Liner
• Colorful Mat & Liner (as exhibited at art shows)

If you are interested in which colors I generally use for a specific image, please Contact me so we can discuss. If you have particular mat colors in mind, please indicate your color choice(s) when ordering.

About Ordering
To order – Please go into one of the Galleries and select the image that you are interested in by clicking on it. When you see the image with its title, location and stock number, click on "Order Button" and fill out the order form specifying what options you would like. Easy as 1-2-3! 

Payment methods – We accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa as well as a personal check or money order made out to Michael’s Images & Impressions. Prices include taxes, shipping and handling. Processing time begins upon receipt of your check or money order. Online ordering uses a secure server, and your information is never shared with any 3rd parties.

Processing time – orders are shipped within 3 – 4 weeks unless otherwise specified at the time of ordering. Expedited handling and shipping is available at an additional cost of 25%.

Shipping costs and territory - we will ship anywhere in the United States, except Alaska and Hawaii. We ship via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground and all shipping & handling charges are included in the prices shown for the photograph (unless expedited handling is requested).
